About the Owner
She began her Bookkeeping career working for a friend of the family CPA, assisting with entering transaction and reconciling accounts for her clients into QuickBooks. She was good at it and more importantly enjoyed it. Over the last 23 years she has worked in various positions with large companies in various roles developing her bookkeeping skills. 8 years ago she chose to move from traditional bookkeeping/accounting to construction bookkeeping and project management. A few years later went into a partnership and became CFO of one construction company and President of the other. This created a new dynamic to her already extensive bookkeeping/accounting background, becoming an owner provided her a new perspective, from someone who provided information to someone who was required to makes decisions and act based on the information. Understanding the importance of cost analysis, improving bottom lines, consistency and organization. Above all, the importance of reducing costs and maximizing profit. Became a valuable insight that has allowed her to understand how important quality bookkeeping can make or break the decision making process for any company.
She is a highly capable and experienced Bookkeeper. In addition to her bookkeeping skills, she offers significant abilities and experience in financial management, research and reporting, project management and database knowledge. Her ability to get along well with others, to make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines, and successfully coordinate in fast-paced environments have all contributed to her growth and her clients placing a significant degree of trust in her.
Her business skills, penchant for detail, and general aptitude have all served to enhance the skills necessary to be a top flight bookkeeper. Her approach to her work goes beyond her project descriptions and she is always looking for ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs. She is adept at negotiating with vendors and contractors, and her technical skills allow her to develop improvements to business and data management processes. In addition, she is recognized for her ability to communicate with clients, customers and management.
What she truly enjoys more than anything about what she does is helping people and companies become as successful as possible. It’s her passion and what she enjoys most about this field. The last couple of years she has spent going into companies and improving their books, increasing their profits, reducing their tax liabilities, training their employees on proper data entry and basic accounting procedures, creating procedure manuals, cleaning up their chart of accounts and streamlining their reporting capabilities. She started Peace of Mind Bookkeeping & Project Management so that she brings her passion and unique skill set in assisting companies and people to be more successful.
